After February 1, you may contact Mrs. Markey at (703) 690-4907 to register.
Birth Certificate
Please bring your child's birth certificate if this is his or her first time playing for Springfield Babe Ruth.
Registration Fee
Springfield Babe Ruth will not raise its registration fee this year. However, we will be passing on the newly implement Fairfax County User Fee of $5.50. Therefore you will make out one check to Springfield Babe Ruth for $165.50. You can read the letter from the county that requires us to charge this fee by clicking User Fee.
Late Registration Fee
A late registration fee of $25 will be assessed for each player registered after February 1.
Refund Policy
The refund policy provides for a fair and reasonable refund that can be applied consistently for all participants. The policy applies to all levels of play (Prep through Senior Leagues). A summary of the refund policy is described below:

If a player withdraws for any reason, after registration but prior to the draft, the player will receive a full refund of all fees paid less a $25.00 administrative processing fee.

If a player withdraws after the draft the refund policy is determined one of two ways:

In the case of an injury, a family transfer, or any other extenuating circumstances (approved by the Executive Committee of he Board) the refund will be prorated based on the number of games played, less a $25.00 administrative fee.
Example: A player who is injured and paid a $160.00 fee and has played half of the games will receive a refund of $55.00 ($160.00/2=$80.00 less $25.00)

If a player quits of withdraws for any reason, such as playing for another leagues, there will be no refund.
The team manager and the player agent will coordinate the refund with the treasurer.

Umpire Training
The league will need many volunteers to be umpires. Between now and registration we encourage parents to consider helping their league and players by getting involved in the umpiring of games. The league offers training before the beginning of the season. Consult the Important Dates page for dates of umpire training.
